Welcome to my piano studio!

 

Philosophy:

Music is my passion, and has been ever since I can remember!  I am blessed to be able to share my gift of playing the piano with others.  I believe that everyone has a natural ability to play music.  As the teacher, it is my responsibility to cultivate that ability, acting as a caring and patient role model for the student as he/she grows. Each student has his/her own individual learning style and I use a variety of methods and resources to help them reach their greatest potential at the piano.  I believe in an atmosphere of fun and joy, and I want my students to learn to play the piano with heart.  I was trained as a classical pianist, but I enjoy many different genres of music and I love sharing that with my students.  

Being involved with music from an early age can positively influence so many other areas of your life, as well as build an appreciation for the arts that can last a lifetime.  It certainly did for me!

Piano Lessons:

Private piano lessons are offered in my home studio in Apple Valley, MN to beginning through intermediate-level students, starting at the age of 4. I love offering a fun and creative atmosphere that instills the joy of music in each and every student.  Lessons include music appreciation, ear training, music theory and history, sight-reading, opportunities for competitions and exams, a yearly recital, and exciting music software for enhanced learning.  Lessons are either 1/2 hour or 45 minutes in length.  A 1/2 hour music technology lab in the studio is strongly recommended following the lesson as an added benefit to the student.  Further information regarding the technology lab is available under "Resources".

Tuition:

Lessons are offered on a tuition basis.  It's important to me to make music accessible to all students, so you will find that my rates are very reasonable.  Tuition is billed monthly, and the schedule follows the academic public school year (Sept. - May).  Lessons are available throughout the summer upon request.

$80 / mth. - 1/2 hour lessons

$120 / mth. with technology lab

$120 / mth. - 45 minute lessons

$160 / mth. with technology lab

 

Studio Hours:

The piano studio is open Mondays from 3 - 7 p.m., and Tuesdays - Thursdays from 3 - 6 p.m..
